Jason Oke is a global marketing agency leader who has led agency teams on five continents.
He is the Global Client Leader for WPP’s Team Walgreens Boots Alliance, based in Chicago.
He leads WPP’s global, integrated communications network serving WBA worldwide. It was founded with staff from Ogilvy, VMLY&R, Mediacom, and Hogarth. He oversees the work of dozens of different WPP agencies working on WBA’s business across 15 countries.
Previously based in Paris, Jason led WPP’s team Colgate-Palmolive in EMEA, overseeing teams in Paris, London, Hamburg, Krakow, Moscow, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Dubai, Casablanca, and Johannesburg. Before that, based in Hong Kong, Jason led WPP’s Team Colgate in Asia-Pacific, and Y&R’s Hong Kong office. He led the launch of Red Fuse into Asia in 2012, and in its first three years he led it to be Hong Kong’s “Agency of the Year” (Campaign Brief Magazine) and Greater China’s “Specialist Agency of the Year” (Mumbrella Magazine), while taking home Golds at Cannes, Clios, LIAs, One Show, D&AD, Spikes, and AdFest.
A well known voice in the industry, Jason has judged the Clio Awards, the Effies, and Campaign Magazine’s Digital Media Awards. Prior to joining WPP, Jason spent many years at agency networks TBWA/Chiat/Day and Leo Burnett, as well as helping to launch and grow Omnicom’s startup agency Juniper Park. He has worked globally with many of the world’s best companies including Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Kellogg’s, Frito-Lay, Wrigley’s, Nintendo, Starbucks, P&G, Unilever, and Colgate-Palmolive.
Jason was born in Toronto, Canada, and is married with three children. He holds degrees in psychology and moral philosophy from the University of Toronto. He lives with his family in Chicago.
